Billets & Volunteers

Welcome to the Moncton Wildcats 16th season in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. We have been very fortunate through the years to receive great support from Metro Moncton in providing billet homes and families to our players. We anticipate the need for additional families for 2011/2012. Becoming a billet is an excellent way to become involved in the hockey community as well as providing the opportunity to develop a special bond with the Wildcats. Our out of town players require an extended family or a “home away from home” from the start of training camp (mid-August)  to the end of the season (April/May). A priority for the team and a commitment the Wildcats have to our players is to provide a healthy and safe environment away from the Coliseum.

When a family volunteers to house a member of the team, they are required to provide room and board for the player. In addition the player must have his own room. Billets are expected to treat players as “one of the family” and not as a tenant. The same rules apply to the player: he will keep his living space clean and will be expected to respect house and team rules.

We will have team guidelines and policies that the players must follow that will be shared should you become a billet home. If interested please fill out the Billet Application form and return it to Carole Theriault at the Wildcats business office located in the Moncton Coliseum. Fax is (506) 858-2222 or e-mail theriault.carole@moncton-wildcats.com
